Comcast has revealed that they are going to determine a new program that provide the alerts on the customer computer screen about the botnets, when they believed that their system are attacked with malware. These alerts would be appeared as pop-ups on the screen that advised the user to visit the Comcast Anti-Virus Center. User also has the options to ignore these pop up messages but they have to perform some action to clean and secure their infected systems.
The company said that they can decide whether the system is infected from the malware or not by monitoring the capability of the machine about how much it is downloading and receiving. Comcast also added that they will check some parameters whether the customer has send any false warnings about the infection of the computer by malware. Even the Comcast critics argue about finding the malware that may cause nuisance for its customers.
